My thanks to Ernie and Berti on Twitter for posting this image. It came to mind when I was reading 2 Kings today, though I realize it is snow, not salt, in this dog’s face.
Still, it led me to and through Elisha’s first message which was, “Do not go.” Then he came to a city that was pleasant, but its water was bad, and its ground was barren. So Elisha took salt and brought it to the source of the water and cast the salt in there saying, “Thus says the Lord: I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.”
So, I’m thinking, sometimes it takes salt? Chime in if you care to share!
