When Does A Box Become a Coffin?

Beautiful writing inspires me, so I collect quotations and excerpts as I read. Recently, I formed a group on Goodreads called “Snippets That Inspire” where others can add faves of their own. The snippet I am sharing today is from “Midnight’s Children“ by Salmon Rushdie who writes, “There are no photographs of my grandmother anywhere on the earth. She was not one to be trapped in anyone’s little black box.” This post is an invitation to my Goodreads Author Page where (I hope) you will look around, perhaps leave or a snippet in the group under the Community tab.
