That I am born-again blows my mind and swamps me with gratitude for the Light that guides me through each day. My New Year’s Resolution is to persevere in seeking the Sonlight, learning to discern it from lesser light and light that is black, in order for this “instrument” to be played by God in ways that enrich the Overall Song.
For me, Christ on earth was proof that even the dust can manifest Divinity. When I realized that He died to birth Divinity in any willing heart, my “dust life” became an adventure. Now I feel like a little child: having joy again, freedom from worry, and relief by not being in charge. Oswald Chambers says, “There is a marvelous rejuvenescence” when someone sees the Light and willingly receives the Light to simply carry it into a very dark world. Thus, on this first morning of 2018, I am like a kid at Camp Mohawk again, singing heartily, “This little Light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine!”
